You Ask - I Answer
WHAT MODALITIES OR TECHNIQUES DO YOU USE?
My hope in therapy is to help create a sense of authenticity and congruence internally, so that you can begin to make external changes that are in line with who you are and what you want out of life. Every person is different and your story and background are unique to you. Given all of our differences, I do not use a "one size fits all" approach to therapy. Instead, I pull from approaches that use interpersonal theory, somatic based techniques, and existential modalities.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT IN MY THERAPY SESSION?
One of the most important components of therapy is "fit." In our initial sessions I hope to learn about you, and encourage you to decide and notice if I feel like the right fit for you. I take an open approach where we will be able to talk about your reactions to therapy and to the process so we can build a strong therapeutic relationship.
HOW MUCH DOES THERAPY COST?
SLIDING SCALE RATES? INSURANCE?
Sessions may be scheduled for 45 or 60 minutes. 45 minute session are billed at $150 and 60 minutes sessions are billed at $200. I also offer a limited number of sliding scale spots.
I currently accept BCBS PPO insurance and Aetna. I can also provide a receipt that you may submit to your provider. If accepted by your provider, they may issue reimbursement at their out-of-network rate. Contact your insurance provider for information on your specific plan.
